I integrated and refurbished a second‑hand film developer, which required extensive lab adaptations. The building’s water supply was insufficient, so I designed and installed a cold‑water recovery system that redirected cooling water as wash water, cutting consumption by ~10 L/min. The project blended PVC glueing, sustainability and industrial refurbishment.
Rebuilding parts of the machine’s PVC piping was technically challenging because it used imperial measurements, making fittings scarce and repairs difficult. I reverse-engineered and redesigned the sections to the metric system.

We redesigned the darkroom for a modern, efficient workspace: rebuilt spooling tables with custom ergonomic wooden surfaces for long shifts and smoother workflows, and installed a full infrared lighting system to enable night-vision work while keeping complete darkness for film-safe operation.
