One of the most fascinating parts of restoring the old packaging machine was rediscovering how industrial automation worked before modern PLCs and digital controls became standard. Many of the machine’s original logic systems relied on custom print plates and mechanically synchronized timing assemblies. Some parts were damaged, others missing entirely, and documentation was limited.
